Andrea V. Burckhard

Andrea V. Burckhard, LUTCF^®, CAP^®, CLTC^®, RICP^®, Agent is the founder of her financial practice since 2007 and is located in Cookeville, TN and services Tennessee and about a dozen other States in the country. Andrea has earned her designations LUTCF^®, CAP^®, CLTC^® and RICP^® through the American College. Andrea is also a NAIFA member and a Lifetime MDRT member.*

Andrea has been in the business world for forty years, living and working in Brussels, Belgium from 1986 through 1999. Andrea began her career in sales and marketing throughout Europe in the office equipment and office supply industry and set up successful distribution channels in thirty-five countries, while managing a multilingual sales team and building a $5M dollar business from ground up.

Andrea returned to the United States in 1999, taking a short sabbatical at her parents’ home and decided to begin a new chapter as the Executive Director of the Byrdstown-Pickett County Chamber of Commerce, specializing in regional tourism and economic development, and focused on relationship building with business owners around Dale Hollow Lake. She also started operating Dale Hollow Marketing Group which published five annual destination visitor guides in 2001 and sold the company in 2011.

In 2000, Andrea got married to husband Terry and in 2001 gave birth to twin sons, Grant, and Blake. Grant is married to Emily Rose and joined Andrea in the business in 2021, specializing in business solutions and protection strategies for families and business owners. Blake works as an audio engineer for a global company in Nashville, Tennessee.

Andrea started as an agent with New York Life in June 2007, and serves families, business owners and professionals by offering personalized guidance and strategies to assist with protection planning, retirement income and planning, asset protection, business employee retention, estate planning, business strategies, gifting, legacy and philanthropic strategies. Andrea has earned many awards including Agent of the Year in 2013, Knoxville General Office, Knoxville, TN. In 2023 the Knoxville, TN General Office awarded Andrea the Established Agent of the Year, and Long-Term Care leader award. Andrea was also awarded the National Annuity Diamond Elite, a National Award. She has reached 17 consecutive Executive and President Council levels, a National Award, including 2024 Presidents Council level. She also served on the New York Life Agent Advisory Board in 2011, being voted in by her peers across the country. In 2024, Andrea was ranked "Best in State" by Forbes in the top ten financial professionals in Tennessee, and the number one woman. Andrea has lived and worked in Cookeville since 2011 and has an office in the historic downtown square. Andrea has been involved and sat on many boards, including City Scape, Cookeville Regional Charitable Foundation, Rotary, WCTE PBS, TTU Friends of the Library and currently sits on the Art Round Tennessee and Impact Leadership Board, where she was a co-founding board member. Andrea also is a co-founder of the Upper Cumberland Women’s Club and a Chamber Ambassador for the Cookeville Putnam County Chamber of Commerce.

When Andrea is not working, she loves playing pickleball, gardening, hiking, traveling, kayaking, writing, reading, cooking and spending time with family and friends.
